A parabolae plural parabolas or parabola is a two-dimensional, mirror-symmetrical curve. It can be in any orientation in its plane and approximately U-shaped.
The parabola involves a line (the directrix) and a point (the focus). A parabola is a graph of a quadratic function, such as y=x^2.
(X-h)2 = 4a(Y-k); ( a = √(h-x1) * (h-x1) + (k - y1) * (k-y1) )
Where vertex: (h, k), focus: (x1, y1).
Y = (1/4a)X2 - (h/2a)X + (k + h2/4a);
Where a = √(h-x1) * (h-x1) + (k - y1) * (k-y1) )
The complete parabola has no endpoints. In the graph Part of a parabola is blue, it's various features in other colours. The parobola's orientation could extends to the downward, left, right, and upward.
